Halloween tropes are easy. Making them fashion is the hard part.
The challenge: pick one classic Halloween trope and reinterpret it through a current trend. Mash them together into something unique and runway-ready.
Not sure where to start? Try a combo:
- Witch × Y2K
- Ghost × Quiet Luxury
- Vampire × Balletcore
- Black Cat × Cowboy Core
- Zombie × Messy Girl

How to make it wearable, not costumey
- Pick one hero element. Let the trope show up in a single detail (a pointed hem, a bat-wing sleeve, a veil) and keep the rest of the look grounded in the trend.
- Borrow the trope's palette, not its props. Black, blood red, bone white, and moss green read as spooky without a pointy hat in sight.
- Play with texture. Lace, mesh, velvet, fringe, and satin do the spooky work for you.
